A Word from Pastor Martin
"Think on These Things"
A lot of effort should be put into making sure you do the right things. Reading your Bible, praying, attending church services and activities, listening to your parents, pastors and Sunday school teachers are all vital to keeping you spiritually well enough to do the right things. These are all good things, but we need to make sure we add another good thing, which involves our mind and what we think about.
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things."
What kind of things are you finding yourself thinking about? I believe most of our wrong actions are due to wrong thinking. When one sins, it is usually not a surprise because the sin has been contemplated beforehand. So check your thinking. If you have right thinking, then you are more apt to do the right things, by the grace of God.
